Before
we all became involved with Montessori we had to go through a process
of learning about what Montessori was. So we thought we would
make it easy for those of you who want to familiarize yourselves with
the Montessori philosophy. There is some general information
below as well as a few links where you can find more in depth
information.
We also have a blog where you can Ask Mauri and get answers to your Montessori questions.
Montessori Overview
Montessori offers an education for the whole
child. It creates an opportunity for the child to explore all facets of their
being, socially, emotionally, physically, spiritually and intellectually.
The Montessori environment creates a space
for children where they can learn by working hands-on, touching, creating, and
absorbing an understanding for the materials in the classroom. The child
becomes a part of this small community where they have a driven purpose, and
can interact, at will, with the materials, the teachers, and their peers.
Every child is unique.
Every child reaches their potential in their
own way and at their own pace.
The Montessori Method allows the opportunity
for working with each child individually, so they can fully understand each
concept as it is taught. Working in this
way allows the child to find the joy in learning while promoting independence
and confidence. They will find an inner
peace that only comes with a sense of personal accomplishment.
Choosing a Montessori
education will instill in your child, a love of learning, independence,
confidence, and a respect for the world and the people around them.LinksOur Peace Fountain Foundation and Peace Fountain Montessori Brochure! The Montessori FoundationFor more information please email us.You can also visit our Peace Fountain Foundation website for more information on
